We arrived to listen
In June 2023, we visited Shariani Primary School for the first time. Before building anything, we met with the teaching staff and families to understand their daily challenges and listen to their most urgent priorities.

Shariani Primary School · 2023–2027
Throughout the school year we raise funds. Two weeks after university entrance exams, Year 13 students travel to Kilifi to turn that dedication into tangible improvements for Shariani Primary School. We decide on priorities on the ground, listening to those who know the school best every day.
All year
We raise funds
Every June
We build with local hands
Every visit
We listen to what comes next
And always: classes with the pupils, and school and sports supplies on every trip.
In June 2023, we visited Shariani Primary School for the first time. Before building anything, we met with the teaching staff and families to understand their daily challenges and listen to their most urgent priorities.

We funded the handcrafted production of desks, tables and chairs alongside local Kilifi carpenters and built the school perimeter fence. Children no longer had to study on the floor, gaining comfort and security.
“For the first time, every pupil had somewhere to rest their notebook.”

We repaired roof leaks, cleaned and repainted interior walls, and created educational murals. We also led practical oral hygiene workshops and distributed individual kits to every student.

We delivered 300 school skirts tailored for local girls, painted the vibrant welcome mural at the main entrance, and refurbished the teachers’ staff room with new furniture to dignify their workspace.

The confirmed priority is installing a well and safe drinking water system estimated at €5,000. The project is currently under technical evaluation, and its implementation will depend on funds raised before the trip.
